The So Called Blue Tool Is no more then a Blue Rock.

Dark Alex himself says that the Blue Tool Will NOT work And at best will change the 3000 PSP into a TA-088v3 PSP as the IPL still needs to be Hacked.

it's confirmed that this over exalted batter will leave 3K at least like the 88v3, just with a flashing light, a black screen and nothing but that LED indicator, as we announced.

 




Therefore, that (strange blue colored) battery won't work for you, instead "someone" makes a bypass for the preIPL thing that Dark_AleX explained. (Considering that the preIPL on the 3K has the same security) Looks like Datel was hoping that Dark_AleX hacked it, so only their battery could be available for the hacking process. Bad luck, guys.

In short... DO NOT BUY THE BLUE TOOL, it will NOT hack your 3000 PSP.

PSP 3000 Has issues

Well, I'll be damned... As complaints about the PSP-3000 screen's interlacing issues pile up at the PlayStation forums, all Sony had to say was that they were "looking into it."While everyone's waiting for a response from Sony U.S., the folks at Engadget have gotten word from Sony Computer Entertainment Japan. The SCEJ representative that contacted them, in Engadget's words, noted that:

the interlacing-like lines are just "features" of the new LCD, and currently, there are no plans to fix it with a future software update since it is in the hardware.

They're... what? Features? Not a very keen feature, if that's the case. Nevertheless, a serious question is now posed: are you willing to put up with scanlines on your screen for Pandora glory care of DAX and the TA-090? Buying a PSP-3000 now requires serious thinking, it seems.

Custom Firmware 5.00 M33 Released

After a short while, the world renown Dark_Alex was able to create a firmware dumper for the new 5.00 firmware. Now, after only 2 days, He has released 5.00 M33! This is a true must-download, so here is the changelog and download details.

5.00 M33 changes:

• 4.01 to 5.00


• Bug fix: when changing speed in xmb, and the psp turned the brightness to 0 automatically the speed was reset to 222 again.


• Note to pspstates plugin users: this plugin won’t work in thisFirmware due to it being made specifically for 4.01. Running it in 5.00 M33 can cause problems, wait until an update of plugin.

PSP Firmware 5.00 Released

PSP Firmware 5.00 changes:

• The [PlayStation® Network] category has been added, and [PlayStation® Store] is now available under this category.


• PlayStation® format software can now be output in interlace format on a connected device.


• PlayStation® format software can now be output in full-screen size on a connected device.


• The sleep timer feature can now be used under [Music].


• The system will automatically change to USB mode when a USB cable is connected.


• The [Original] theme has been redesigned.


• A new full-screen keyboard; press [Select] when the OSK is displayed

I personally upgraded my PSP for these features and all I have to say is Damn Sony! It is a finally an update worthwhile my time and this writer cannot wait until Dark_Alex releases a new custom firmware. The new OSK is helpful and the PSN access makes the PSP finally portable with a sleek new XMB. Before you update make sure to keep your Pandora Battery and Magic Memory Sticks in a safe place.

PSP-3000 Revealed

Heres the new PSP-3000 that everyone's been talking about and waiting for. After months of spy picutres, FCC specs and rumored crap its here. Dubbed the PSP-3000 with some new features:

• The LCD screen will have a wider color gamut and higher contrast ratio to deliver deeper, more vibrant colors, as well as anti-reflection technology so you can see the screen more clearly when playing outdoors. As you all know, the PSP’s screen is a key strength of the hardware, and this update adds an absolutely dazzling LCD screen to the hand held.


• A built-in microphone allows for Skype calls and multi-player gaming communication directly from the hardware - eliminating the need for attaching a separate headset.

As for pirces they remain the same $199.99 bundle packs

SCEA just announced the North American details concerning the PSP-3000.
The previously announced Ratchet & Clank PSP Entertainment Pack will
launch on October 14th for $199.99. It will now include the following:

• National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets UMD


• Echochrome PSN voucher


• 1GB Memory Stick PRO duo

A second entertainment pack has also been announced called the PSP 4GB
Memory Entertainment Pack. The will launch in November for $199.99 as well. It includes:

• 4GB Memory Stick PRO duo


• Everyday Shooter PSN voucher

The Piano Black PSP-3000 will be sold separately later this year as a PSP
Core Pack, which includes only an AC adaptor and battery pack for $169.99.

Still no word on offical specs but they are said to change at any time so we still have to wait it out for that. And no word yet if its"unhackable" but will let Dark_AleX and the many other Great hackers take care of that ;)

Despertar del Cementerio v7 Released

Even more hopeless psp owners can now save their PSPs by using Dark_AleX's new Despertar del Cementerio V7. This time around, he has even added in an IDstorage regenerator and an option allowing control over the PSP/UMD region.

Despertar del Cementerio v7 changes:

• A format flash function has been added which is useful to correct problems for some that get an error when installing 4.01 M33, or to have a custom partitioning of the flash.


• An idstorage tools function has been added. It allows to create a new idstorage (including for first time, the regeneration of region and umd keys), change region (including umd region), or fix wlan mac address.
  

Of course, DCv7 will still install Dark_AleX's neest firmware 4.01 m33.
I will include files made by zzk to use in conjunction with his tut to make a magic memory stick.
